About David
I’m running for County Commissioner to protect your tax dollars, make your voice heard, and manage our growth with common sense. I’m not a career politician — I’m a doer who delivers results and believes in practical, accountable leadership.
Rooted in Cabarrus County Since 2003
David Conrad moved to Cabarrus County for work in the licensed apparel industry and to be closer to the NASCAR community. What started as a career opportunity quickly became a lifelong commitment to the people and values that make this county home.
A Career Built on Strategy, Service & Small Business
For over two decades, David has built a diverse career rooted in strategy and service – spanning licensed sports apparel, entertainment, small business ownership, and corporate marketing. He launched and led a marketing agency, and today serves as a consultant and fractional marketing leader, helping businesses across industries grow through smart strategy, messaging, and execution. His work includes both project-based consulting and embedded roles with companies that need experienced marketing leadership without full-time overhead. He also pursues photography as a creative outlet and a way to stay engaged with the Cabarrus County community.

Proven Local Leadership
As president of his 300+ home HOA, David has delivered results:
Strengthened financial reserves
Completed major infrastructure projects
Improved communication with homeowners
Held dues flat while expanding amenities
Conservative Values. Common-Sense Leadership.
A lifelong conservative Republican, David believes Cabarrus County deserves leaders who listen, plan wisely, and spend taxpayer dollars responsibly. His campaign focuses on:
Improving infrastructure
Keeping taxes low
Protecting what makes Cabarrus County special
Family, Faith, and Community First
David lives in Concord with his wife, son (a student at UNCC), and stepdaughter, who attends West Cabarrus High School. His daughter lives nearby in Concord with her family — including David’s young grandson. He remains actively involved in his church, where giving back and community service are more than values — they’re a way of life.
